Kim Henry

Kim Henry is an accomplished independent financial advisor driven by a passion for empowering individuals and businesses to achieve lasting financial security. She specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement income management, long-term care planning, employee and employer benefit design, small business planning, and divorce-related financial strategies. Kimberly holds Series 7, 6, and 63 registrations, along with life, health, long-term care, and variable insurance licenses.

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Statistics and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Tennessee. In addition to her financial consulting practice, Kimberly serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Finance Department at the Haslam School of Business, where since 2023 she has taught Insurance and Financial Planning Management, an elective for finance majors.

Prior to entering financial services, Kimberly built a distinguished career in economic and commercial development and urban planning. She owned KH Consulting, providing project administration solutions, and held leadership roles with The Development Corporation of Knox County, SITE Incorporated, and the Knoxville–Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission.

A dedicated community leader, Kimberly has been appointed to several influential boards, including Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (current board member and past chair), the Knoxville Wrecker Commission (former board member and chair), the Knoxville–Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission (former board member), and the Downtown Design Review Board (former chair). Committed to lifelong learning and civic engagement, she is a member of the 2021 Leadership Knoxville class and the 2022 UT Chancellor’s Associates class, and a lifetime member of Nucleus Knoxville. She also served as Volunteer Coordinator for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – Knoxville Build 2012.

Her board and volunteer involvement includes Knoxville Opera, Marble City Opera, Every Woman Vote, Knox Heritage, Dogwood Arts Festival, Friends of Literacy, the East Tennessee Industrial Council, and the Tennessee Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Outside of her professional and civic work, Kimberly is an avid traveler who has explored Great Britain, North Africa, the Caribbean, Cuba, Mexico, Canada, and much of Europe.
